Secluded, southern, and charming, our recently remodeled beach home is the ultimate in cottage getaways. New wood floors, new appliances, new paint, and brand new furnishings make the space feel clean, open, modern, and inviting. With a classic beach house floor plan, the cottage has four bedrooms and two full baths, sleeping 7-10 people comfortably.
- The master suite has a plush king bed, roomy closet, and windows letting in lots of beautiful sunshine. The attached bath with new granite countertops ensures privacy and comfort.
- Two separate queen bedrooms are artfully decorated and outfitted with premium linens. Each of the queen rooms have private access to sun decks nestled under the trees, and have more than enough drawer and closet space to make yourself at home.
- The bunk bed room sleeps four – perfect for children or the children-at-heart.
The kitchen and living room area are open, allowing for effortless entertaining and conversation. A new Jenn Aire stove with built-in pancake griddle is perfect for making large vacation breakfasts for the family. The kitchen also boasts a new side by side stainless steel refrigerator, stainless sink, fully stocked kitchen, new island and counters, and new granite countertops.
The cottage offers a new washer and dryer on the main floor, stocked with basic washing supplies to ensure your vacation is just like home…but better. The home has 4 TV’s, one in each of the queen and king bedrooms, plus one in the living room. There is also Comcast cable, WiFi, and local landline phone.
Outside, the Sea Island Cotton Cottage has two large screened porches: one with table and chairs facing quiet Dolphin Street, a quiet lane lined with oaks dripping with Spanish moss, perfect for relaxing with your morning coffee. The other porch, an old-fashioned sleeping porch, is only accessible from within the house, and offers a hanging twin bed overlooking a bike path and Jungle Island Road. Downstairs boasts a full outdoor shower, fish sink, and a complete grilling area with serving bar and picnic table seating.
To access the beach, it’s just a short walk up Portia Street to walk-in beach access #7, or park your car at beach access #8. Down the street, Burley Lyons’ Park offers outdoor grills, picnic tables, and a lagoon for fishing. A bike and golf cart path is available via Jungle Road, behind the home.
